Molly Malone - Print by Irish Makers
The famous song tells the tale of a young fishmonger who sold fish from her barrow on the streets of Dublin. The ever popular song has become the unofficial anthem of Dublin and the much loved statue of Molly is a favorite with visitors to the city.
Our inspiration for this print came from the Bronze statue of Molly Malone by sculptor Jeanne Rynhart. The drawing is overprinted on the songs lyrics.
A4 size (210mm x 297mm). Printed in Dublin on high quality heavy 300 gsm card. Fits into a standard size off the shelf frame or larger frame with A4 mount. The print is backed with card and packed in an environmentally friendly cello bag to protect it.
We are Irish Makers, a group of Irish Designers sharing a love of art, design, architecture, drawing and of course a passion for our Irish Heritage.
Our specialty is hand drawing and together we enjoy nothing more than getting out and about around Ireland with our sketchbooks and pens.
Back at our Dublin studio these drawings were used to create the print you see here.
